MAIKA HARA
Hi! My name is Maika. I’m a Japanese actor based in Toronto, as well as in Japan and England. I moved to Canada in 2025 to pursue an international career, with the goal of becoming a bridge that connects different cultures and backgrounds through storytelling.
In Japan, I have built a strong foundation in film and television, with over fifty productions to date. My acting career began with the role of Kazuko in Switching – Goodbye Me, directed by Nobuhiko Obayashi, who is best known internationally for the cult-classic horror film House.
Additionally, I am professionally trained in kimono dressing, reflecting my deep understanding of traditional Japanese culture.
I’m excited to share that I have several upcoming projects, including lead roles in feature films and a drama series produced by a major production.
